“Mingle Me Home” is an International Contemporary Dance Festival taking place in Nevada City, California on December 20th and 21st, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at The Miner’s Foundry Cultural Center. To purchase tickets, click on this link: https://minersfoundry.org/event/mingle-me-home/.
The intention of the festival is to bridge dance communities from throughout the United States and Germany. The festival will be enhancing the development of artistic partnerships and strengthening the creative diversity of the local community. “Mingle Me Home” is essentially a celebration of our roots.
Included in these two evenings will be dance companies as well as individual dance artists from Germany, Seattle, San Francisco, Chicago, Ohio and Nevada County. The selected performers received their professional training from Alonzo King’s LINES Ballet (San Francisco), The San Francisco Conservatory of Dance, Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company (Israel), Dance Professional Mannheim (Germany), Amsterdam Academy for Theater and Dance, California State University Long Beach, Lou Conte Dance Studio (Chicago), Hope College (Michigan), Ohio State University and the College Conservatory of Music at University of Cincinnati. These performers have a powerful movement language and each their own unique approach to contemporary dance. We are thrilled to include them in “Mingle Me Home” 2018!
In order for “Mingle Me Home” to reach fruition, we invite you to join us in bringing the artists together and making it all possible. The goal is to raise $7,000 to help cover the following costs:
*Travel to Nevada City
*Performance Stipends
*Lodging
*Publicity
*Performance Space
ANY AMOUNT HELPS!
By contributing to this goal, you will make the festival happen. In return, you can receive a variety of exciting perks including the chance to connect personally with the performers to learn about their backgrounds, creative processes and artistic visions. Additionally, we will give you public shout-outs, special ‘behind the scenes’ rehearsal footage, festivals tickets and business promotion.
