Nevada Union Theatrical Dance presents Community Masterclasses. These masterclasses will be taught by various professional artists and are open to dancers of all ages and levels. This is a great way to for our dance program to fundraise for future shows and activities while offering exposure to different forms of movement. All classes will be an hour and a half, and masks are required.

October 30th: Modern with Amelia Eisen and Kirill Berezovski
About the class:
This Contemporary Technique Workshop will highlight several elements which support a solid foundation and body intelligence necessary in the present dance world. This highly physical and music driven class will consist of a guided body awareness improvisation, floorwork and flow combinations and choreography that will draw from the previously awakened senses and techniques practiced.
Amelia Eisen was born and raised in Nevada City, California. She is a Dancer, Choreographer, Teacher and Integrative Nutrition Health Coach based in Mannheim, Germany. Amelia trained with Alonzo King’s LINES Ballet in San Francisco, Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company in Northern Israel and the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City. She has worked with choreographers and companies in California and Germany including Michael Bronczkowski, 5elefants tanzkollektiv, Green Flamingo Project, Richard Oberscheven, Taulant Shehu, Catherine Guerin, Eric Trottier, Luis Sayago, ZiRu Dance Company, Kinetech Arts and Project Agora. She has presented her own work in San Francisco, Israel and Germany. In the Fall of 2018, she was involved in the choreographic cooperation together with Kirill Berezovski & Mike Planz for “Winterschlaf,” which premiered in Theater Felina-Areal, Mannheim. In the same year she was one of three choreographers in the GUMMITWIST mentoring program for young choreographers, mentored by Edan Gorlicki. In December 2018, she curated “Mingle Me Home” International Dance Festival in Nevada City. Her first full-evening production, “Project Warrior” celebrated its premiere in November 2019 at Theater Felina-Areal. Amelia also teaches Modern & Contemporary Dance as well as Holistic Health for various dance studios and schools.
Kirill Berezovski, was born in Odessa (UKR), and had his first dance experiences growing up in Freiburg, Germany. He finished his formal training in dance and choreography in Mannheim in 2015, followed by further training at the Alvin Ailey School, Broadway Dance Center, intensives with the Hofesh Shechter Company and Johannes Wieland, as well as the six-month international dance journey with the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company in Israel. As a dancer, he has worked internationally with Yasmeen Godder Company, Edan Gorlicki, Ashley Wright, Carla Jordao, Christian Burns (BurnsWorks), Barish Karademir, MIRA Dance Company, Max Levy, and IP Tanz, among others. In recent years he has been able to build up and expand an international network as a dancer and choreographer (e.g. “My Hungry Heart” for Fullstop Dance Company San Francisco or currently “Of dreams to come” at Tanzfest Freiburg 2021 and Tanz-Kulturdialog Festival 2021).

- $15 per 1.5 hr class. Drop-ins welcome. You can pay online via PayPal or pay with check or cash. Please make checks payable to Nevada Union Theatrical Dance (be sure to include student’s name along with your payment).
In-Person Classes: Safety Protocols
Masks are required. You must first review the “Daily Symptom Checklist” . You do NOT need to fill it out, but please self-evaluate to ensure that you do not have any symptoms. Students with one or more symptoms should not come on campus and will not be allowed to stay on campus. Then, please read and follow theDance Class Safety Protocols. You must follow all protocols to attend these classes in-person.
