About the Scholarship
The Yelena Holt Excellence in Dance Scholarship is named in recognition of the founder of the NUHS Theatrical Dance Program, Mrs. Holt, who fostered a love of dance in thousands of high school students during her career. Many graduates from her program went on to pursue dance in college and as a career. In 2010, after more than 20 years in public education, Mrs. Holt retired from her illustrious teaching career.
The Excellence in Dance Scholarship provides a $500 award each year to eligible graduating seniors of the NUHS Theatrical Dance Program who plan to pursue dance as a major or minor at a four year college/university. Students must fill out the District Scholarship Packet to apply for this award. For more information, contact the District Scholarship Coordinator.

You can help our talented high school students achieve their dream of pursuing dance in college by contributing directly to the scholarship fund. 100% of your donation will go directly to the scholarship, and your contribution is tax-deductible. Any amount is greatly appreciated.
